When will the 2019 Group Residency cohort be announced?

We will announce the next class of Fellows in early November.

How often do you accept applications?

We will select a Group Residency cohort every year.

If I’m not chosen, can I apply again during a future round?

Absolutely! We’d be happy to review later applications from applicants who have continued to develop their work.

About the program

What is included in the Group Residency?

  • Consistent monthly space to use New Women Space for your gatherings

  • Guidance in developing a community building roadmap to help you get the most out of the program

  • Ongoing skill-building and training courses involving community facilitation

  • Participation in a cohort of other Community Organizers committed to change

  • Exposure to opportunities provided by other New Women Space programming

  • Access to workspace during visiting hours at New Women Space

What is the time commitment?

Residents commit to:

  • Participating in the full programming of the 12 month period

  • Participating in 2 fundraisers on behalf of New Women Space per quarter (4 total)

  • Devoting a few hours each month to ongoing training and programming

  • Sharing responsibility for creating a supportive, collaborative community of Residents

  • Collaborating with New Women Space throughout to evaluate and refine the program for future cohorts

  • Contributing their leadership, creativity, and voice to other Resident programs. We’re looking for Residents who are eager to explore the roles they can play in the broader ecosystem of New Women Space — whether serving as mentors, facilitating local events, or documenting their work for the greater community
